Blake, Mitarotonda, Pittman are USA Lacrosse Women's Player of the Week

This season, USA Lacrosse will celebrate the accomplishments of players across Divisions I, II and III each Tuesday with Player of the Week recognition.

Players of the Week are selected by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors based on a variety of factors, including individual performance and impact on team success.

DIVISION I

McKenzie Blake, Princeton

Princeton shot up the USA Lacrosse Division I Top 20 this week after beating Penn — and it might not have been possible without Blake. The junior buried five goals on nine shots against the Quakers, then followed with five goals and one assist in a big win over Columbia.

Blake has at least two goals in every game since the season opener and has 34 goals in total in 2024.

DIVISION II

Emily Mitarotonda, East Stroudsburg

In a career full of outstanding performances, Mitarotonda added another one Saturday during Senior Day at East Stroudsburg. The All-American posted a career-high 10 goals and matched her career best with 11 points in a 20-11 conference win over Shippensburg. 

The Rockaway, N.J., product was a force all over the field, recording seven ground balls, five caused turnovers and five draw controls. She is the first ESU player since 1986 to score at least 10 goals in a single game.

DIVISION III

Lauren Pittman, Franklin & Marshall

Pittman earns Player of the Week honors both for her cumulative week and her single-game performance against Salisbury. In a 3-0 week for the Diplomats, she totaled nine goals, five assists and 19 draw controls.

She did much of her damage against the Sea Gulls, as her four goals and 14 draw controls helped F&M weather a back-and-forth four quarters before the Diplomats could win it in overtime.
